Before you go
Know before you go
- The box office opens 7:00 pm
- Parking goes by how tall your vehicle is. Under 5 feet can park anywhere, and the front rows by the yellow-topped poles are the ones they suggest. Between 5 and 6 feet goes to the middle or back, by the blue or red poles. Six feet and over goes to the back rows by the red poles. Larger vehicles like trucks and vans are required to park in the back rows or designated sections so they don't block the view. An open hatchback or trunk is fine as long as it does not sit higher than your roof; otherwise it has to be tied down.
- Rain or shine, the movie plays
- It is $10 a person or $25 a carload, so three or more of you should pay for the car.
- Bring a portable radio. Their own list of what to pack names one, along with blankets, pillows, bug spray and a camping chair.
- Parking goes by height and the poles are colour-coded: yellow at the front for anything under 5 feet, blue in the middle for 5 to 6 feet, red at the back for 6 feet and over.
- Come early and play. There is cornhole, sand volleyball, putt-putt, frisbee, ladder golf and bocce before it gets dark.
- The box office stays open until 15 minutes after the last film's start time, so arriving late still gets you in.
- Pizza is baked fresh and brought out to your car at no extra charge.
History
The history of Field of Dreams Drive In Theater
Rod and Donna Saunders opened Field of Dreams in Liberty Center in 2007 and ran it until they retired in November 2025, which closed the drive-in. Legacy Theatres LLC took it over in early 2026, kept the name and reopened it for the 2026 season.
The Saunders family also owned the Tiffin drive-in from April 2011 and ran it under this same Field of Dreams name for a time, which is why two Ohio drive-ins 50 miles apart share the story. This is a separate theater from Tiffin's drive-in and the two are not the same venue.
