History
The history of Warner Park Drive-In Theater
Warner Park Drive-In opened June 2, 1956, with William Holden in Picnic. Condra Amusement Co. operated it, and R.M. Condra Engineers designed it for 570 cars on one screen. The lot sat on steep ground, so the outer ramps were built with terraces.
It closed in the late 1960s or early 1970s: Cinema Treasures commenters give 1969 and "the early 70's", and the lot was still in use in May 1969 for the city's first drive-in worship service. The site is now a gym.
