History
The history of Blue Starlite Mini Urban Theater
Opened in 2009 as the original Blue Starlite Mini Urban Drive-In, credited by its own operators with helping start the modern US drive-in revival. Has operated from more than one Austin-area location over the years (including a Round Rock screen that burned in a June 2020 fire and later consolidated back into the Austin/VFW site).
As of this pass, public movie showings are on an extended hiatus "so the creators can focus on their family"; the lot remains bookable for private rentals and the operator runs a separate indoor East Side Cinema and a touring Silents Synced event-cinema project.
