Elm Road Triple opened August 3, 1950, founded by Stephen Hreno and his wife with one screen and room for 350 cars. A second screen was added in 1979 and a third in 2005, making it the only three-screen drive-in left in Ohio.
Radio sound arrived in 1983 and digital projection in 2013. The lot has grown to 900 cars, and the theater has stayed in the founding family for three generations, run today by Sheri and Mark Hocevar.
